The trick
The talk isn't over when you stop — Q&A shows real command. For any question: pause, then respond (~3 seconds signals composure and gives you time). If a question is unclear, restate it in your own words. For tough or hostile questions, use acknowledge-and-bridge: acknowledge ("That's a fair point"), then bridge to your key message. And the bravest move: if you don't know, say so and offer to follow up — audiences trust honesty over a bluff. Prepare by listing the hardest questions beforehand.
