The trick
A talk without structure feels like a city with no map. The classic shape: an opening (where we're going), a body (2–3 main points), and a close (where we've been). The oldest trick: "Tell them what you'll tell them, tell them, then tell them what you told them." Use the Rule of Three — two to three main points is the sweet spot — and signposts ("First… Second… Finally…") so listeners always know where they are.
Worked examples
🎤 Speaking homework: Speak a 90-second version out loud: "Today I'll share three reasons [topic] matters. First… Second… Third… So remember: [recap]." Say it twice — the second time flows better.
