Share and participate online with care

Online groups can make learning and connection easier, but a respectful community depends on everyone making intentional choices about what they share, how they contact others, and when they ask for help.

Share only what you would be comfortable having reviewed.

Before posting, emailing, or submitting a form, pause and remove private details that are not necessary for the purpose. Good community participation does not require a personal history.

Four practical habits

  1. Use a clear purpose. Share a question, idea, or resource that can be understood without personal identifiers.
  2. Ask before sharing someone else’s information. Names, photographs, contact details, and family stories belong to the person concerned.
  3. Keep boundaries visible. A community space is not an emergency, medical, legal, financial, or crisis service.
  4. Choose trusted routes. Use official GMA forms or contacts for suggestions and concerns rather than posting private details publicly.

What Vanitha will do

Vanitha’s launch forms request only information needed for review. A submission does not create an account, enroll someone in mailings, or authorize publication. Any future use beyond the stated purpose should require a clear separate choice.
