Technique explanation
Facts inform, but stories stick — our brains are wired for narrative. A powerful shape is contrast: "what is" versus "what could be." You don't need drama — small, specific, true details work best. "My grandmother kept every rubber band on a doorknob" beats "older people are frugal." Specific beats general every time. And connect the story back to your one big idea — a story without a point is just a detour.
