GMA chapters organize events throughout the year — cultural festivals, community gatherings, educational seminars, and the annual Mahasabha convention. All GMA members receive event invitations via WhatsApp and email. The events calendar below reflects the national GMA schedule; individual chapters may host additional local events.

Sankranti Celebration
January
The harvest festival — kite flying competitions, bonfire (Bhogi), traditional Pongal feast, and Gangireddulu celebrations. GMA's most festive winter event.
Ugadi
March/April
Telugu New Year — the most important festival of the year. Panchanga Sravanam, traditional ugadi pachadi feast, cultural performances, and community gathering. Celebrated by all chapters simultaneously.
India Independence Day
August 15
Celebrating Indian independence — flag hoisting, patriotic cultural programs, and community gathering.
Annual Mahasabha
August/September
GMA's flagship annual convention — two days of culture, community, and connection. Cultural performances, seminars, Matrimony Meet, awards, and live entertainment.
Bathukamma
October
Telangana's iconic flower festival. Women gather in traditional dress with elaborate flower stacks, singing Bathukamma songs in circles. GMA Vanitha wing coordinates this celebration across chapters.
Dasara
October
Vijayadasami — the festival of victory and the goddess Durga. Cultural programs, dandiya, and community dinner.
Diwali
October/November
Festival of lights — community gathering with cultural performances, traditional sweets, fireworks, and the lighting of clay diyas. Family-friendly event for all ages.
Independence Day Picnic
July 4
Annual chapter picnics celebrating US Independence Day — family cricket, potluck food, games, and community bonding.
